Owner & Instructor
Shawna B.
Shawna’s passion for movement began early when she started dancing at just four years old. After spending more than 15 years in dance, she developed a strong appreciation for discipline, body awareness, and the power of movement to build both physical and mental strength.
During college, Shawna discovered Reformer Pilates and quickly fell in love with the way it combined strength, control, and intentional movement. What began as a personal passion soon grew into a deeper purpose—helping others feel strong, confident, and connected to their bodies.
After returning to her hometown, Shawna recognized that there were limited opportunities for people in the area to experience Reformer Pilates. Determined to bring this style of training to her community, she founded Balance by Shawna B, a contemporary Reformer Pilates studio designed to deliver powerful, low-impact workouts in an uplifting and welcoming environment.
Today, Shawna is passionate about creating more than just great workouts. Through Balance, she strives to build a strong community where clients feel supported, empowered, and excited to show up for themselves every day.
